Comments: Thank you! It is about time someone paid an internet tribute to Drazen. My high school friends and I used to love going to the Meadowlands in New Jersey to see Drazen and the Nets. Unfortunately the Nets were never a good team and neither was our hockey team the Devils until fairly recently. New Jersey sports teams were a joke. But Drazen was proud to represent our home and we were proud to have him with us. The day he died, my friend broke the news to me, "Did you hear about Petro? He's no longer with us." "Yeah, I know. He's going to play in Europe," I said, upset over his contract dispute with the Nets. I was in for a huge shock. I felt like I had lost a family member. I'm happy to say I got to see Draz at an autograph session in a local mall in New Jersey. I shook his hand and asked when we'd get the championship. "We're getting close," he told me as he signed the photo that is now one of my prized possessions. I just want to let everyone know that to me Petro is a New Jersey hero as much as he is a hero anywhere. Most people on both sides of the Hudson River are Knicks fans and few appreciate the pride Petro took in representing our side. But I appreciate it and I will always remember the great times at the Meadowlands watching Petro hit 3's and play to the crowd in the big games. Peace!

Comments:I just want to tell u that the Petro page is great.. I was such a huge fan of Draz when he played in New Jersey for the Nets. i think the great thing you mentioned about Draz was his dedication and love for basketball. It was so obvious when he played. I loved when he threw up his arms after he hit one of his 3 pointers. Looking forward to the video on Draz Brian Hayes

His shoot, his work and his love for the basketball. I will remember always the night with Real and his 62 points in Athens versus Caserta, and his 44 points in NBA playoffs with Nets, and much more games... Drazen we love you forever!!! Comments: Great Page. As a New Jersey Net fan, I can honestly say that Draz was the best to ever play for them. His love for the game was obvious as was his will to win. The Nets have still not recovered from his tragic death. I have put him on my page as well, although your page is certainly more complete then mine. My Page Thanks for your work. Jeff Cicirelli

Comments: Reading the Drazen Website is what made my day today! Thanx. I was 12 when I was watching my first ever basketball game, noticed Drazen and fell in love with him. He's my hero ever since, for 13 years that is. His death hurt me deep and bad and I know basketball is not the same for me any longer. There's noone I could cheer for with my heart and soul, the way I was when Drazen was playing. He was and stays one in a million. To this day, I still miss him. Simona (age 24, from Slovenia)

Comments:I loved your web page on Drazen Petrovic. I thought he was a great player when he was in the NBA and was crushed when I heard he had pasted away. Luckly I was able to get his autograph before he passed away. We both have the same last name. I don't know if I'm related to him in any way or not. I know my ancestors are from the Crotia area. Other than that I have no clue. Great page!!!! John Petrovic

Comments:I came across your Drazen page, and I love it! Petro was my favorite player ever, and I have yet to see another player that has his work ethic or enthusiasm for the game. By the way, do you know anyone who sells Petro autographs, especially a basketball or Nets jersey? Any help is appreciated. Keep up the good work. Thanks, Ezra petronets@aol.com

Comments:It's good to see this page. In his final, or second to last season some friends and I went to a Nets - Pacers game in Indianapolis. It was a special day of hoops. What made the game so special was the duel between Reggie Miller and Petrovic. Both were fighting for the mantles of best pure shooter and best 2-guard not named Michael Jordan. The two just couldn't check eachoter. Their matchup was a textbook of moving without the ball and shotmaking. By the end of the night they had combined for about 70 points and thrilled the crowd. My friends and I talked later about how that game was the start of a duel that would last for years. It should have. Petrovic was a great player just coming into his own when he was killed. His death ended a matchup that would have become legend for fans of both teams. All fans feal the loss. Pedro Velazco. Muncie, Indiana, USA

Comments:I loved it! My name is Stephanie, and I am 14. I live in Maryland. I am a huge basketball fan, especially of the Chicago Bulls. I admit, at fist I only came to the page to see if there would be any pictures of Toni Kukoc. But as I read on, I was touched by Drazen's story. He was great, and will always be great in the heart's of many. Stephanie

Comments: Thank you for the wonderful page about the greatest European basketball player of all times. There aren't many basketball players that I can look up to and say that they're my idols. But Drazen is a true idol: he is the essence of basketball, the best of fair play and sportsmanship. Drazen showed me that hard work is everything in basketball. Forever Petro.

Comments: My brother and I had always watched the Nets mainly to see the teams that played against them. We knew about the great talent that the Nets had but it was a latent talent. Coleman could probably make a name for himself in history with his ability and I believe that Kenny Anderson had the passing ability to rival Magic Johnson. It was neither of these two physical specimens that caught our eye. Instead, it was the guy that wasn't as fast, wasn't as quick but still determined to shoot, pass or dive for a ball as long as his team could win. Drazen was a throw back to a time in basketball, and all sports, when the players lived and breathed their sport. He was a great player and each year you could see one aspect of his game he improved. I can only think what he would have done and I can only dream what his love for the sport may have inspired in today's players. Drazen is missed.

Comments: Hi! I've just read your great page on Drazen, and want to thank you for an excellent work which must had been done with a lot of love and patience. I'm Croat leaving in Slovakia for the last 5 years where my wife comes from. Although I knew how dreadful the loss for Croatia it was when Drazen passed away, I'm still touched with these comments made by basketball fans from all around the world. Drazen also had a big impact on my life too, since seeing him having such a great talent and still working so hard to improve himself, made me think of myself and gave me strength and patience to dedicate myself to the profession I love. My family and I are moving to Croatia next year, and I'd like to know what several people, commenting on this page wanted to know, too: Where can I buy some videos on Drazen's best performances??? It's very important for me, since I lost all Drazen's videos in Bosanski Brod during the war. Bye, Tonino Filipovic!
